Effective Date: 18 August 2026
Chungas World uses accounts and access permissions to manage its Minecraft server, website, administrative systems, staff systems, development tools, and other services used to operate Chungas World.
This Account & Staff Access Policy explains how Chungas World manages player accounts, staff accounts, administrative permissions, access security, account sharing, compromised accounts, and the removal or restriction of access.
The purpose of this policy is to help ensure that accounts and administrative permissions are only used by authorised individuals and for legitimate Chungas World purposes.
This policy should be read alongside the Chungas World Community Rules & Code of Conduct, Game Server Rules Policy, Moderation & Enforcement Policy, Appeals Policy, Staff Policy, CCTV & Recording Policy, Infrastructure & Property Policy, and Server Administration & Maintenance Policy.
Players and staff are responsible for maintaining the security of accounts they use to access Chungas World services.
Users must take reasonable steps to prevent other people from gaining unauthorised access to their accounts.
An account must not be deliberately provided to another person for the purpose of bypassing Chungas World rules, restrictions, bans, permissions, or other access controls.
Unless Chungas World has specifically authorised shared access for an operational purpose, accounts must not be shared between individuals.
Staff must not share administrative accounts, passwords, authentication codes, or other credentials with other staff members or players.
Where multiple staff members require access to the same system, Chungas World may provide each authorised staff member with their own account or appropriate access.
Individual accounts help Chungas World identify who is responsible for actions performed using administrative systems.
Users should take reasonable measures to protect their accounts and authentication information.
This may include:
Using a strong and unique password.
Not sharing passwords.
Not sharing authentication codes.
Using multi-factor authentication where available.
Keeping recovery information secure.
Avoiding suspicious links or login pages.
Reporting suspected account compromise.
Logging out of administrative systems when appropriate.
Staff with elevated or administrative permissions may be required to use additional security measures.
Chungas World may provide separate staff accounts or staff permissions to authorised members of the Chungas World team.
Staff accounts may provide access to systems or features that are not available to ordinary players.
The level of access provided to a staff member should be appropriate to their role and responsibilities.
Staff should only receive the permissions necessary to carry out their authorised duties.
Administrative permissions may include access to:
Server administration commands.
Moderation tools.
Player management tools.
Infrastructure-management tools.
Server configuration.
Development systems.
Testing environments.
CCTV systems where authorised.
Website or community-management systems.
Other Chungas World administrative systems.
Not every staff member will receive every permission.
Chungas World may limit, change, suspend, or remove permissions whenever necessary.
Chungas World may use role-based access and the principle of least privilege when assigning staff permissions.
This means staff should generally receive only the level of access required to perform their role rather than automatically receiving full administrative access.
For example, a staff member responsible for basic moderation may not require access to server configuration or development systems.
Staff access may be granted when Chungas World determines that the access is necessary for the individual's role.
Chungas World may consider:
The staff member's role.
Their responsibilities.
The systems they need to use.
The level of access required.
Security considerations.
Training or experience.
Whether the access is temporary or permanent.
Access to higher-risk administrative systems may require additional approval.
When a staff member changes role or responsibilities, Chungas World may review and change their permissions.
Permissions that are no longer required may be removed.
A staff member changing roles does not automatically guarantee that they will retain their previous administrative permissions.
Access reviews may be carried out periodically or when a staff member's responsibilities change.
Chungas World may provide temporary access for specific tasks, projects, maintenance, testing, development work, or other authorised purposes.
Temporary permissions may be removed when the task or project is complete.
Where appropriate, temporary access may have an expiry date or other restrictions.
When a staff member leaves Chungas World, their staff access and administrative permissions may be removed or suspended.
This may include access to:
Minecraft administration.
Server systems.
Website administration.
Development systems.
CCTV systems.
Staff communication systems.
Internal documents.
Other Chungas World services.
Access may be removed immediately where necessary to protect Chungas World systems or information.
Chungas World may also review access following a staff resignation, removal from the staff team, role termination, or other change in status.
Chungas World may temporarily suspend an account or staff permission where necessary.
Suspension may occur because of:
A suspected security incident.
Suspected account compromise.
Investigation of suspected misconduct.
Misuse of administrative permissions.
Unauthorised access.
A serious rule violation.
Technical concerns.
Other circumstances requiring temporary access restriction.
Suspension of access does not necessarily mean that the user has been found responsible for misconduct.
Users should report suspected account compromise to Chungas World as soon as reasonably possible.
A compromised account may be temporarily locked, suspended, or have its permissions removed while the issue is investigated.
Where appropriate, Chungas World may reset permissions, require authentication changes, or take other measures to protect the account and Chungas World systems.
Users must not attempt to access Chungas World accounts, systems, staff tools, administrative features, or other services without authorisation.
This includes attempting to:
Guess or obtain another person's password.
Use another person's staff account.
Bypass permission restrictions.
Access staff-only systems.
Access administrative commands without permission.
Use compromised credentials.
Circumvent account suspensions or access restrictions.
Access systems belonging to another Chungas World user without permission.
Unauthorised access may result in serious enforcement action.
Staff must not use administrative permissions for personal benefit or unauthorised purposes.
This includes using permissions to:
Give themselves unfair gameplay advantages.
Give friends or other players unfair advantages.
Access information without a legitimate Chungas World reason.
Alter infrastructure for personal purposes.
Avoid or bypass Chungas World rules.
Interfere with another staff member's work.
Retaliate against a player.
Access systems unrelated to their role.
Administrative permissions are provided for Chungas World purposes and must be used responsibly.
Staff must only use commands, tools, and administrative features where they are authorised to do so.
Staff should consider the potential effect of administrative actions before carrying them out.
Where an action could significantly affect the server, players, infrastructure, or other systems, staff may be required to follow additional procedures under the relevant Chungas World policy.
Chungas World may maintain records relating to staff access, permissions, account changes, and administrative activity where reasonably necessary for security, administration, moderation, or technical purposes.
Where systems provide appropriate logging, administrative actions may be associated with the account that performed them.
Access records may be reviewed where necessary to investigate suspected misuse, security incidents, or other operational concerns.
Chungas World may review staff accounts and permissions to determine whether access remains appropriate.
Reviews may identify:
Unused accounts.
Unused permissions.
Excessive permissions.
Former staff access.
Temporary access that should have expired.
Potential security concerns.
Chungas World may change or remove access following a review.
Staff may have access to internal Chungas World information that is not intended for general publication.
Staff must not deliberately disclose confidential staff information, administrative information, security information, or other restricted information without authorisation.
Additional confidentiality requirements may apply to particular staff roles or systems.
Where a user cannot access their account, they should use the applicable account recovery process where one is available.
Chungas World may require reasonable verification before assisting with access to an account or staff system.
Staff must not attempt to bypass account-recovery procedures or obtain access through another person's account.
Chungas World may take immediate action where it identifies or suspects a serious account or access-security incident.
This may include:
Suspending accounts.
Removing staff permissions.
Changing access credentials.
Restricting server access.
Reviewing administrative logs.
Restricting affected systems.
Taking other measures necessary to protect Chungas World.
Advance notice may not be possible during an active security incident.
Where Chungas World provides authorised access to external individuals, contractors, developers, or other third parties, access may be limited to the systems and permissions required for the approved purpose.
Third-party access may be removed when it is no longer required.
Third parties must follow any Chungas World security, confidentiality, and access requirements that apply to their access.
All Chungas World staff are responsible for using their accounts and permissions appropriately.
Staff must:
Protect their login information.
Not share administrative credentials.
Use permissions only for authorised purposes.
Report suspected account compromise.
Report suspected unauthorised access.
Follow Chungas World security procedures.
Respect confidentiality requirements.
Use administrative powers responsibly.
Failure to follow this policy may result in enforcement action.
Depending on the circumstances, enforcement may include:
A warning.
Removal of specific permissions.
Temporary account restriction.
Removal from the staff team.
Suspension.
Temporary ban.
Permanent ban.
Removal of access to Chungas World services.
Serious misuse of administrative access or deliberate attempts to obtain unauthorised access may result in immediate enforcement without a prior warning.
Where enforcement action is taken under this policy, the affected member may use the Chungas World Appeals Policy where an appeal is available.
